Causey Making it about Race
Editorial writer and columnist for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, James Causey apparently sees the professor Gates’ story only in black and white. In his July 31st blog post, he made a few unwarranted assumptions, so I thought I would point them out to the reader.
As long as ethnic groups continue to see prejudice and discrimination in places they don’t exist, racial healing cannot begin to take place. Instead, it will only perpetuate and even exacerbate racial relations in this country. People of all colors now how sensitive such a topic can be, and we all need to learn to give the other the benefit of the doubt.
